Lenormand Predicts Skylanders Game for Christmas: 12 Birds, 8 Coffin, 2 Clover, 1 Rider, 13 Child

If you’ve been reading Tarot cards, Lenormand cards, Playing cards or Oracle cards for a while now, you’ve likely noticed the cards are perfectly happy to answer pretty much any type of question. It’s just as valid to ask “Will I have fun at the party?” as it is to question whether or not your job is secure, your significant other is cheating on you, or if you’ll pass the real estate licensing exam.

For example, my 7 year old grandson really, really, really wants a particular Skylanders game for Christmas…

Skylanders Trap Team Starter Pack – Wii U

And he’s really, really worried he won’t get it…

I decided to throw a few Mystical Lenormand cards to see what his prospects are:

This is one of the most direct, literal spreads I’ve ever thrown. Coffin ends things and Birds can show stress, anxiety or worry that is often short-lived. In the context of my question, I can see that Birds + Coffin easily translates to “Don’t worry!”

Clover is the central or hinge card, giving a very positive spin to this spread. Clover indicates good luck and positive opportunities. Followed by Rider, it’s easy to see that good things are on their way to my grandson (Child).

I had to smile at this very pleasant probable future. “Don’t worry, Sweetie,” I told him. “Just tell Santa you really, really, really want that game and I’m sure he’ll bring it to you.”

Of course, I’ll be sure to put in a good word with his mother…….

Lenormand Clarification Cards: Should You Use One?

From time to time I use clarification cards in Tarot readings, particularly when I’m having difficulty understanding the meaning of a card I draw for a certain position. I also use them on a fairly regular basis to give a summary or clarification of a reading.

There are four main ways I do this:

1. Pull the top (or bottom) card from the remaining deck (after having laid out the entire spread).

2. Pull the bottom card from the pile assigned to the position I wish to further explore. (I do this when prior to card selection, I cut the deck into as many piles as I have positions.)

3. Add the numerical values of the cards laid out in the spread, reduce to 22 or less, locate that card in the remaining deck and select the cards before and after as well (three clarification cards total).

4. Pull a card (or cards) at random from the remaining deck.

Lenormand cards are read differently than Tarot cards and some readers insist you should not “mix up the rules.”

While I understand and appreciate this viewpoint, I also believe each reader should experiment and use what works for him or her, even if “that’s not the way you’re supposed to do it.”

I often use Lines when I draw Lenormand cards. While I usually draw a Line of 5, you can also use a Line of 3, a Line of 7, or a Line of 9. Using an odd number of cards gives you a central, or “hinge” card, which can be used to determine the focus or theme of the spread. If you browse through some of the Lenormand posts on this website, you’ll notice that I’ll often place an additional card below the central card of the spread.

Like this:

While you could certainly chose another selection method, I select the base card (the bottom card of the remaining deck) as the clarification card. I use clarification cards in my Lenormand spreads because I have consistently found that they will almost always provide me with additional information and/or clarification.

Sometimes the clarification card will modify one or more cards above it. Sometimes I’ll get the intuitive sense that it represents a “House” in which the central card sits.

In the above example, 6 Clouds as the clarification suggests uncertainty at best and dashed hopes that result in heartbreak at worst.

Not to leave you hanging, the spread above was cast last Spring to find out whether a student would get accepted to a particular college. The application to college (Letter + Tower) had been made with high hopes (Stars) but would end in heartbreak (Scythe + Heart). While the Line of 5 was clear enough by itself, the clarification card 6 Clouds reiterated the depressing nature of the prediction (which, unfortunately, turned out to be true).

I’m curious to learn your thoughts about the use of clarification cards in Lenormand readings. Do you use them? Why or why not? Please use the comment feature to let me know.

Lenormand Cards Daily Draw: Rider, Letter, Moon, Storks, Anchor, Birds

When I pull cards for a daily draw, I usually ask to be shown something that will happen that day, or something I need to know.

Yesterday morning, I pulled the following cards:

1 Rider - 27 Letter - 32 Moon - 17 Storks - 35 Anchor - 12 Birds
1 Rider – 27 Letter – 32 Moon – 17 Storks – 35 Anchor – 12 Birds

Mystical Lenormand (c) 2005, 2007 – AGM-Muller

The Lenormand cards suggested I’d get an update or feedback (Rider) concerning some type of documentation (Letter) resulting in accolades (Moon), positive recognition (Moon + Storks) and/or successful completion (Anchor) of a project.

12 Birds as the clarification or additional information, in combination with 27 Letter and 32 Moon, brought to mind “advertising” or “promotional” documentation, which instantly alerted me that I might receive news (Rider) concerning a PowerPoint presentation I’d recently created for a former colleague.

What Actually Happened:

The cards manifested quickly. About three hours after the draw, I received feedback (Rider) via an email (Letter) regarding the PowerPoint presentation (Letter + Moon + Birds) I’d prepared. The feedback recognized (Moon) the improvements (Storks) I’d made to my former colleague’s original concept and he complimented me on a job well done!

Once again, my cards provided an accurate “heads-up” on what to expect as the day unfolded.

Lenormand Cards Address Money Question: Sun, Whip, Lilies, Clouds

A female querent recently deposited a significant (to her) amount of money into a money market account and wanted to know “Will the money grow?” Basically, she wondered whether she’d be able to leave it be, gathering interest, or whether she would have to begin withdrawing amounts here and there, sadly watching it dwindle away.

I decided to draw three Lenormand cards plus a clarification card to address her issue. Prior to selecting the cards, I mentally superimposed 15 Bear on the central card position, since 15 Bear represents financial resources and investments. That way, whatever card appears in the central position is located in the House of the Bear, and its meaning is combined with the meaning of 15 Bear.

I drew:

31 Sun - 11 Whip - 30 Lilies - 6 Clouds
31 Sun – 11 Whip – 30 Lilies – 6 Clouds

Mystical Lenormand (c) 2005, 2007 – AGM-Muller

The cards suggested there could be financial gain (Sun) through repetitive deposits or regular monthly interest (Whip, in the House of 15 Bear) to the account, resulting in a slow build-up (Lilies) of money. Whip + Clouds, however, raised a red flag that the querent may lack a certain sense of direction. 6 Clouds by itself as clarification or additional information suggested the outcome may be changeable or unpredictable.

*****************************

Notice that if you add the numerical values of the chosen Lenormand Cards, 31 + 11 + 30 + 6, you get 78 = 7 + 8 = 15 which equals 15 Bear — the subject of this reading and the card that was mentally superimposed upon the central card (Whip) of the 3 card draw.  This gives more weight to the necessity of regular deposits to the account and/or monthly interest to produce the outcome the querent desires.

*******************************

I told the querent I was  concerned about the lack of direction and/or uncertainty indicated by the clarification card, 6 Clouds. It seemed to me that the money could grow slowly, either through regular deposits to the account and/or repeated monthly interest (Sun + Whip + Lilies), but that she hadn’t made a firm decision yet (Clouds) as to whether she would begin withdrawing from the account before it had a chance to grow. I suggested she might want to focus on finding ways to prevent withdrawal from happening, assuming her prevailing desire was to have the funds grow.

The querent agreed the cards mirrored her situation quite accurately, as at the present time, she was uncertain (Clouds) as to whether she could continue to fund the account or if she was going to have to begin withdrawing from it.

Lenormand Cards Discuss Birth of Twins: Letter, Tree, Snake, Gentleman, Sun, Bouquet

Yesterday afternoon I was anxiously awaiting news about the birth of a dear family friend’s twin girls. I had gotten a text from my younger daughter that the friend, who’d gone into the hospital early in the morning due to a health complication, was still in labor.

I asked the Lenormand cards what was going on and got:

27 Letter - 5 Tree - 7 Snake - 28 Gentleman - 31 Sun - 9 Bouquet
27 Letter – 5 Tree – 7 Snake – 28 Gentleman – 31 Sun – 9 Bouquet

Mystical Lenormand (c) 2005, 2007 – AGM-Muller

The cards suggested I would get a text (Letter) about a health complication or physical problem (Tree + Snake) that the doctor would successfully resolve (Gentleman + Sun with Tree).

The base card 9 Bouquet (bottom card of shuffled deck) suggested there would be a positive turn around (Snake + Bouquet) and I’d soon be hearing happy news (Bouquet + Letter).

Wanting to learn more about the babies, I found 13 Child in the deck and pulled the card before and three cards after:

15 Bear - 13 Child - 11 Whip - 10 Scythe - 8 Coffin
15 Bear – 13 Child – 11 Whip – 10 Scythe – 8 Coffin

Mystical Lenormand (c) 2005, 2007 – AGM-Muller

The cards indicated that the children were strong and healthy (Bear + Child) and the pregnancy would likely end (Coffin) after a painful surgery (Whip + Scythe). I surmised that a Cesarian section would occur.

What Actually Happened:

I received the happy news (Bouquet + Letter) early this morning. The doctor (Gentleman) had successfully (Sun) managed the mother’s health complication (Tree + Snake) and the twins were born yesterday evening.

Both babies are strong and healthy (Bear + Child). Baby A was delivered vaginally, while Baby B was delivered via Cesarian section, as the cards had suggested. 11 Whip correlates with the number 2 and it was the second twin that required surgical intervention.

Once again, the Lenormand cards amazed me with their accuracy.

As I write this post, Mom and babies are doing well and all of us are over the moon with happiness!

Blessings,

Mary Hawkins
