Lenormand Daily Draw: Child, Bear, Storks, Birds

Last week my older daughter asked me to babysit Grandson #2 on Thursday of this week (yesterday). By Wednesday, I still hadn’t heard from her, so I wondered if perhaps she had changed her mind. I decided to throw some cards to find out.

Prior to shuffling, I mentally charged 13 Child to represent my grandson, so whatever card I pulled would be read as if it had landed in the House of 13 Child and the meanings would be combined.

I pulled the following cards:

 

15 Bear - 17 Storks - 12 Birds

In the context of the question, “Will I have to babysit tomorrow?”, 15 Bear shows a maternal figure (me!), literally “sitting” on a child. In other words, 15 Bear in the House of 13 Child is a babysitter.

Storks bring babies and Birds are communications, texts and phone calls. The cards suggested I’d get a text or phone call (Birds) from my daughter informing me she’d be bringing my grandson over (Storks) for our babysitting date (Bear in the House of 13 Child).

 

What Actually Happened:

Wednesday evening my daughter sent me a text (Birds) reminding me of my babysitting commitment (Bear in the House of 13 Child), and alerting me that she’d be dropping my grandson off (Storks) the following morning around 9:00 a.m. All went as planned and I spent a delightful morning coloring, chatting, eating, and watching Nick Jr. with the little guy, as the Lenormand cards had suggested.

Lenormand Cards Discuss Birth of Twins: Letter, Tree, Snake, Gentleman, Sun, Bouquet

Yesterday afternoon I was anxiously awaiting news about the birth of a dear family friend’s twin girls. I had gotten a text from my younger daughter that the friend, who’d gone into the hospital early in the morning due to a health complication, was still in labor.

I asked the Lenormand cards what was going on and got:

The cards suggested I would get a text (Letter) about a health complication or physical problem (Tree + Snake) that the doctor would successfully resolve (Gentleman + Sun with Tree).

The base card 9 Bouquet (bottom card of shuffled deck) suggested there would be a positive turn around (Snake + Bouquet) and I’d soon be hearing happy news (Bouquet + Letter).

Wanting to learn more about the babies, I found 13 Child in the deck and pulled the card before and three cards after:

15 Bear - 13 Child - 11 Whip - 10 Scythe - 8 Coffin

The cards indicated that the children were strong and healthy (Bear + Child) and the pregnancy would likely end (Coffin) after a painful surgery (Whip + Scythe). I surmised that a Cesarian section would occur.

 

What Actually Happened:

I received the happy news (Bouquet + Letter) early this morning. The doctor (Gentleman) had successfully (Sun) managed the mother’s health complication (Tree + Snake) and the twins were born yesterday evening.

Both babies are strong and healthy (Bear + Child). Baby A was delivered vaginally, while Baby B was delivered via Cesarian section, as the cards had suggested. 11 Whip correlates with the number 2 and it was the second twin that required surgical intervention.

Once again, the Lenormand cards amazed me with their accuracy.

As I write this post, Mom and babies are doing well and all of us are over the moon with happiness!

Lenormand Cards Confirm Death of a Pet

This is an entry from my daily journal:

 

On August 3, 2013, I asked the Lenormand cards,

‘What is in my immediate future – the next 35 days or so?’

I pulled:

30 Lilies - 8 Coffin - 3 Ship - 18 Dog - 13 Child - 2 Clover

Here’s how I interpreted the cards:

Death of a pet. My dear kitty Sasha is on her way out. Dog + Child = puppy, small pet. (Dog can refer to pets in general, including cats.)

She’s old (Lilies), small (Child), a pet (Dog), and she’s on her way out (Coffin + Ship).

Clover indicates 2 months / 2 weeks / 2 days.

 

What Actually Happened:

My sweet, little 18 year old kitty, Sasha, had been losing weight over the summer at an alarming rate, and I was just beginning to realize she’d lost her hearing as well. I knew something was up. Despite the cards I had drawn, I remained in denial. I wasn’t ready to let her go.

Sasha took a turn for the worse approximately two weeks (Clover) after the date of the draw. The week of 8/19 was very bad. By Sunday, 8/25, it was certain she was dying. On Monday, 8/26, I called a local vet and arranged to bring her in for euthanasia. Sasha was given a lethal injection at 10:45 am on Monday, 8/26/2013.

I cried all day.

All week.

On and off through September, and into October…

Approximately two months later (Clover), Charlie and Midnight came into my home and my life.

Charlie and Midnight are Rescue Kitties, abandoned when their family pulled up stakes and left town. Charlie, the orange guy, is about 3 or 4 years old and as friendly and cuddly and playful as can be. Midnight, an older, toothless gent of about 7, purrs up a storm, eats like there’s no tomorrow, and wakes me up every morning by poking his paw in my face . I still miss my sweet Sasha, and always will, but I’ve grown to love my new Kitty Boys.

Lenormand Cards Daily Draw: Heart, Woman, Child, Letter, Birds

On a Friday morning in early January, I drew the following cards for my daily draw:

 

24 Heart - 29 Woman - 13 Child - 27 Letter - 12 Birds

Here is my interpretation, straight from my journal:

I think I will hear from my younger daughter today. Heart + Woman speaks of an affectionate woman or a woman I am fond of, and Child suggests she is younger rather than older. Child could also be literal, referring to her son / my grandson.

I think she will text me (Letter) and maybe call me on the phone (Birds).

Here’s what happened:

School was cancelled. My younger daughter (Heart + Woman + Child) texted (Letter) to see if I would babysit my grandson (Child) while she conducted a tutoring session (she’s a teacher). A few minutes later, she texted again, telling me the tutoring session was cancelled and wanting to know if she could come over for coffee. A few minutes after that, she sent a  third text, telling me she wanted to run a few errands and maybe she’d see me later.

So a flurry (Birds) of texts (Letter) from my affectionate younger daughter (Heart + Woman + Child), with mention of her son (Child).

She never did come over, but then again, 1 Rider didn’t show up in the spread.

The morning cards proved to be quite literal.
